Position Summary:
The Director of Integrated Behavioral Health provides leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for all Integrated Behavioral Health services across Neighborhood Health Association. This position is responsible for the design, coordination, implementation, evaluation, and supervision of clinical and administrative operations related to behavioral health care, ensuring that services meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Director works closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Medical Director, and other members of executive leadership to guide clinical programming, manage quality improvement initiatives, and align behavioral health services with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration, daily operations, clinical programming, and delivery of Integrated Behavioral Health services.
- Develop and implement short- and long-range program goals, policies, and procedures to ensure clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and efficient service delivery.
- Directly supervise assigned administrative and clinical staff; provide clinical consultation and oversight in collaboration with the Medical Director on medical supervisory matters.
- Monitor quality improvement outcomes, patient care standards, and operational efficiency measures for behavioral health programs.
- Consult with CEO and executive leadership on matters related to behavioral health planning, program development, quality improvement, grants management, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead continuous evaluation of clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and service effectiveness; recommend program adjustments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations and standards for behavioral health services.
- Provide leadership in developing integrated behavioral health models that align with patient-centered medical home and whole-person care approaches.
- Build collaborative relationships with external agencies, referral sources, and community stakeholders.
- Actively participate in administrative meetings, leadership forums, and strategic planning activities.
- Foster a team-oriented culture, promoting staff development, collaboration, and cross-disciplinary communication.
- Serve as an advocate for integrated behavioral health services within the organization and the community.
Position Requirements:
- Master’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited college or university.
- Current independent license in the State of Ohio with supervisory designation (LISW-S or LPCC-S).
- Minimum of 3 years of senior administrative and management experience in behavioral health.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in integrated behavioral healthcare delivery models.
- Strong conceptual, organizational, and program development skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven leadership in human relations, staff development, and team building.
- Strong knowledge of state, federal, and FQHC behavioral health policies, regulations, and programs.
- Ability to build positive relationships across diverse racial, cultural, and socioeconomic populations.
- High level of professional judgment, initiative, and problem-solving ability.
