About Job
The Lead School Based Counselor provides counseling and behavioral health services as contracted by the school district. The Lead position provides consultation and support to CGRC employees at identified school sites within the school-based partnership. The Lead provides behavioral consultation intervention services to a school-focused treatment team for a child or adolescent in need. These services are provided primarily in designated contracted schools focused on emotional support settings. The Lead assists team members to grow in their roles and skills. The Lead’s primary responsibilities are designed to be consultative, rather than direct services to the child / adolescent and the child / adolescent’s family. As part of a therapeutic team, the Lead provides a continuum of services, including system advocacy, curriculum implementation improvement, crisis intervention/stabilization, and coordination between CGRC and the school.
If you’re looking for the opportunity to share and expand your competencies using a variety of clinical based interventions, CGRC’s School Based Counseling Services program is for you. Clinicians work with students, teachers, parents, colleagues, and administrators to provide caring mental health support and increase a holistic understanding of students’ and families’ needs so they can thrive both in school & at home.
