- Evaluate and consult for potential 504 Plan eligibility for students requiring accommodations in the regular program.
- Administer, score, and interpret individual assessments, including tests of intelligence, achievement, social/emotional skills, functional behavior assessment, and adaptive skills, report data to team members, and write psychological evaluation.
- Consult with teachers, parents, other district personnel and/or outside professionals for the purpose of providing requested information, developing plans for services and/or making recommendations for specific instructional strategies.
- Facilitate the school multi-disciplinary team for the identification of special needs students and the development of interventions to address those needs.
- Provide individual counseling and group guidance/counseling for students.
- Participates in various meetings (e.g. parent conferences, in-services training, site meetings, etc.) for the purpose of receiving and/or providing information and/or meeting credential requirements.
- Supervises interns for the purpose of monitoring performance, providing for professional growth and achieving overall objectives of school's curriculum.
- Reports directly to and is supervised by the Special Education Supervisor
- ESA certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working in a multi-cultural environment preferred.
- Strong oral and non-verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform all duties in accordance with applicable board policies and district and legal requirements.
- Ability to meet and maintain punctuality and attendance expectations.
