OVERVIEW:
The Clinical Director monitors clinical performance to ensure treatment services and operations are in compliance with all applicable regulatory and licensing agencies and is responsible for implementing, reviewing and developing clinical protocols, performance objectives, productivity benchmarks and compliance measures. The Clinical Director will also provide direct client services in addition to his/her duties. The Clinical Director also provides clinical guidance and supervision to any Staff who provide therapeutic interventions, either in one to one or group settings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. All clinical programs and services.
2. Initiating, implementing and managing of all clinical policy and procedures to assure for the delivery of treatment services and the effective operation of the program.
3. Supervision and evaluation of all clinical personnel including, but not limited to the following: Therapists, Behavioral Health Technicians
4. Supervises and supports the work of his/her supervisees and, in their absence, the Clinical Director will assume or appropriately delegate their day-to-day responsibilities. (See relevant Job Descriptions).
5. The Clinical Director also provides or delegates clinical guidance and supervision on a weekly basis to any staff who provide therapeutic interventions, either in one to one or group settings.
6. Accurate and timely reports, documentation and other written materials as assigned.
7. Leading in the clinical requirements of state licensing and works closely, to this aim, with the Utilization Review Manager.

9. Program marketing and public relations as assigned.
10. Clinical planning and development.
11. Assisting in the development, implementation, and supervision of policy and procedure including, but not limited to the following:
· Professional staff rules and regulations.
· Clinical evaluation and documentation.
· Utilization review program.
· Client care monitoring program.
· Client records.
· Client rights.
· Infection control.
· Quality Assurance program.
· Recommendations for policy changes or revisions.
· Program efficiency and effectiveness in the
· Delivery of quality services.
· Contents and recommendations on program
· Policies and Procedures pertinent to the Clinical Department.
12. Meets with Treatment Team to discuss each patient admitted and treatment being provided; signs off on approved treatment plans/reviews.
13. Meets with the Operations Director (at least weekly) to discuss planning and co-ordination of the treatment environments and the day-to-day running of the clinics.
14. Meets with the Clinical team (at least weekly) to discuss new program track, maintenance of existing tracks and overall program development.
15. Provides emergency coverage after hours, as needed.
16. Collaborates with other Heads of Departments to discuss Performance Improvement findings, problems, and program issues, on a monthly basis.
17. Develops and implements action plans, as needed, to correct problems or issues defined.
18. Assists in periodic review and revision of policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
19. Attends treatment team meetings, as scheduled.
20. Complies with required hours in accordance with contract agreement.
21. Works collaboratively with the Operations Director, Center Managers, facility staff, Medical Director, and other staff.
22. Participates in the development and periodic evaluation of policies and procedures and reviews the policies and procedures manual annually.
23. Provides guidance and leadership for performance guidelines
24. Arranges for the availability of qualified consultative therapy and case management staff, maintains involvement in contract negotiations with these professionals, and represents them to the administration
25. Adheres to and ensures facility policies and procedures.
26. Abides by all safety/risk, infection control, and other guidelines, as required.
27. Coordinates and supervises all Quality Assurance functions within the program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
· Candidates for the position of Clinical Director shall have at least a Masters degree- LMHC, LMFT and/or LCSW Preferred
· Healthcare experience, or related subject is preferred
· Director/Management experience in healthcare is preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· This position oversees therapists and Behavioral Health Technicians
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· This job operates in a health care setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the care center.
· May be exposed to virus, disease and infection from patients and specimens in working environment.
· May experience traumatic situations, including psychiatric, and deceased patients.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear.
· The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
