PART TIME 24 HOUR DAYS POSITION

General Adult Unit Inpatient Behavioral Health

The Social Worker works with the psychiatrist and interdisciplinary team in developing and managing treatment plans. Serves as liaison in relation to patient care and needs, between the hospital, community, and insurers to facilitate access to clinical treatment for individuals. Provides social services to both adult and child/adolescent patients. Services include, but are not limited to bio-psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, individual and family education and group therapy Social Workers provides individual, conjoint, group and family psychotherapy; in addition to crisis intervention services, as needed. Ensures that the quality of care is safe, effective, patient centered timely, efficient and equitable. Social workers also serve on designated committees and as qualified, may serve as field instructors for social work interns.

Education/Experience Required

Graduation from an accredited school of social work with a Masters Degree.

Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective social work care plans.

Ability to perform a wide variety of professional social work services.

Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Certifications/Licensures Required

Current Licensed Master Social Work.
