Brief Description
We are seeking a compassionate and board-certified (or board-eligible) Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary outpatient behavioral health team. This position provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to both children and adults in an outpatient setting. The psychiatrist will also have a key role in overseeing Spravato (esketamine) treatment services and supporting Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) programming.

This position provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to both children and adults in an outpatient setting. The psychiatrist will also have a key role in overseeing Spravato (esketamine) treatment services and supporting Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and coordination with therapy and case management teams.
- Monitor treatment outcomes, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing psychiatric care.
- Provide psychiatric oversight and treatment planning for patients receiving Spravato (esketamine) therapy, including assessment of appropriateness, monitoring for side effects, and ensuring compliance with REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy) program requirements.
- Serve as the psychiatric provider for Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team clients, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, and contributing to the development of intensive, community-based treatment plans.
- Collaborate closely with therapists, care coordinators, and other clinical staff to ensure integrated, whole-person care.
- Participate in clinical team meetings and contribute to case reviews and interdisciplinary discussions.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Provide consultation to other clinical staff regarding psychiatric concerns.
- Educate patients and families about psychiatric conditions, treatment options, and medication usage.
- Stay current with best practices, evidence-based treatment approaches, and state/federal regulations related to psychiatric care.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency in Psychiatry; fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry preferred.
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry; certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry preferred.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in WV or eligibility to obtain.
- DEA license with appropriate schedules for prescribing controlled substances.
- Experience with Spravato/esketamine administration and ACT services preferred, or willingness to be trained.
- Experience working in outpatient behavioral health settings preferred.
- Comfort working with a diverse population and a wide range of psychiatric conditions.
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally competent care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Outpatient clinic setting with standard weekday hours.
- No on-call or weekend requirements but option to cover with additional compensation
