Requirements
• Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology from an APA-accredited program
• Active, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the State of Washington
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical, forensic, or correctional settings (preferred)
• Training in trauma-informed care, suicide risk assessment, and behavioral intervention
• Familiarity with NCCHC standards and Washington State RCW 71.05 and 71.24
• Strong documentation, communication, and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary and secure healthcare setting
• Must pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
Responsibilities
• Conduct psychological assessments, crisis interventions, and evidence-based therapy.
• Perform intake evaluations, suicide risk assessments, and cognitive/behavioral evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for inmates.
• Provide individual and group therapy for incarcerated individuals with mental health needs.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, MHPs, nursing staff, and custody personnel to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in case reviews, critical incident debriefings, and reentry or discharge planning.
• Document clinical encounters accurately and in a timely manner in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Contribute to suicide prevention efforts and step-down planning for high-risk individuals.
• Ensure compliance with NCCHC, applicable RCWs/WACs, and facility behavioral health protocols.
