Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Music Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will utilize music as a therapeutic tool to address the emotional, cognitive, and social needs of clients across various settings. This role involves working with individuals with diverse backgrounds, including those with behavioral health challenges, developmental disabilities, and dementia. The Music Therapist will create personalized treatment plans and engage clients in music-based interventions to promote healing and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to determine the therapeutic needs of clients.
• Develop and implement individualized music therapy treatment plans.
• Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions using music interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Document client progress in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
• Provide support for clients dealing with, behavioral health issues, or developmental disabilities.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in music therapy.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
• Experience working in outpatient settings is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Skills in art therapy or recreational therapy can enhance therapeutic offerings.
• Experience in pediatrics is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster therapeutic relationships.
