The Counseling Center, located within The Hospital of Central Connecticut, is an outpatient facility committed to delivering high-quality care to adults facing various behavioral health challenges. Our multi-disciplinary team comprises Psychiatrists, Registered Nurses, Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Support Staff, committed to serving the Greater New Britain community through services offered in English, Spanish, and Polish. We foster a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment centered around patient needs, celebrating a richly diverse workplace.

Job Summary

As a Behavioral Health Clinician, you will:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations of inpatient patients to assess their Mental Health and Substance Abuse care needs.

  • Provide direct clinical psychosocial therapy to patients, utilizing individual, group, and family therapy methodologies.

  • Apply knowledge of growth and development principles to evaluate and address each patient's age-specific needs and treatments.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Social Work is required.

  • An active LCSW, LPC, or LMFT license in Connecticut is required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

  • Strong documentation and computer skills are necessary.

  • Experience in a multidisciplinary environment is preferred.

  • Bilingual candidates are required.
