The Counseling Center is an outpatient facility at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, dedicated to delivering top-quality behavioral health care to adults with various diagnoses. Our multidisciplinary team includes Psychiatrists, Registered Nurses, Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Support Staff who collaborate closely to meet the needs of the New Britain community. We are proud to offer services in English, Spanish, and Polish in a diverse and patient-centered environment.

Job Summary:

As a Behavioral Health Clinician, you will:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations of patients to determine their mental health and substance abuse care needs.
  • Deliver direct clinical psychosocial therapy through individual, group, and family sessions.
  • Apply an understanding of developmental principles to assess and address the age-specific needs of each patient effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work is required.
  • Active LCSW, LPC, or LMFT license in the state of Connecticut.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent documentation and computer skills.
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Bi-lingual proficiency is required.
