Competitive pay based on license level and experience starting at $55.00 per hour

We're hiring a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to provide on-site mental health support across Baltimore County public schools, with optional telehealth sessions for clinicians seeking full-time or early-start flexibility.

???? What You'll Do

As a School Counselor, you'll serve as a trusted mental health professional for students across elementary, middle, and high school settings. Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering on-site, school-based therapy services to students during school hours
  • Offering telehealth sessions (optional) to supplement caseload or allow for early onboarding
  • Conducting mental health assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborating with school staff, families, and the Backpack clinical team
  • Maintaining timely and accurate documentation in the EHR
  • Participating in supervision (if pre-licensed) and team case consults

  • In-person school-based role throughout Baltimore County, MD



  • Full-time preferred, but flexible start options available
  • Opportunity to begin with telehealth caseload prior to school year start or while onboarding

????‍⚕️ Ideal Candidates Have:

  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
  • Active Maryland license: LCSW-C, LMSW, LCPC, LGPC, LCMFT, or LGMFT



  • Experience working with youth in schools, outpatient, or virtual settings
  • Strong clinical skills in individual and family therapy
  • Cultural competence and a trauma-informed care approach
  • Passion for making mental health more accessible to kids and teens
