Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Graduate Professional Counselors (LGPC) to join our outpatient mental health team on a PRN basis. This hybrid role offers flexibility, allowing you to provide care both remotely through tele-health and in person at our Maryland clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in therapeutic modalities and a passion for delivering high-quality, client-centered care to individuals facing diverse mental health challenges, including PTSD, gender identity concerns, and other behavioral health needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop individualized, client-centered treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services using evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s needs.
- Provide individualized, evidence-based treatment for a variety of mental health conditions, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma-related disorders, and adjustment issues, utilizing trauma-informed care when appropriate.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using behavioral and cognitive-behavioral techniques.
- Provide gender-affirming counseling that is inclusive, respectful, and supportive of client identities.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting interventions as clinically appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive client care.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited program.
- Active LGPC license in the state of Maryland in good standing.
- Eligible for clinical supervision toward LCPC licensure (supervision may be available through the clinic).
- Experience in outpatient mental health settings preferred.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, gender-affirming practices, and Christian counseling approaches.
- Strong skills in client assessment, treatment planning, and behavioral therapy.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible PRN schedule.
