Job Title & Role Description:

We are seeking a Manager, Clinical Applications to manage and oversee the day-to-day use, maintenance, configuration, and optimization of our clinical applications, AthenaOne (EHR) and Salesforce (CRM). This leadership role, reporting to the Director, Clinical Applications and Product Management, will manage a team of Clinical Application Analysts and serve as a bridge between clinical, operational, and IT teams to ensure seamless EHR functionality and exceptional user experience.

Skills Required:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3–5 years working with Electronic Health Records, preferably AthenaOne
  1. Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, particularly in a healthcare or care coordination context
    • Experience managing clinical applications teams or projects
    • Demonstrated success in a healthcare technology or clinical informatics environment
  • Technical & Regulatory Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of HIPAA, MIPS, HEDIS, and healthcare compliance standards
    • Familiarity with user provisioning, role-based access, and EPCS workflows
  • Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced, constantly shifting environment
    • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority

Key Behaviors:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Clinical Applications Analysts
  • Oversee day-to-day support activities for EHR and CRM users, including clinical providers, administrative staff, and leadership
  • Provide guidance and escalation support for complex issues
  • Manage user provisioning, including onboarding, offboarding, and EPCS setup for clinicians
  • Oversee system configuration changes, templates, order sets, and clinical decision support tools
  • Stay current on internal Product enhancements and ensure team can support end users with new features
  • Ensure documentation and change management procedures are followed
  • Monitor and assess AthenaOne release notes and communicate feature changes to internal teams
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations to assess and enhance user workflows
  • Serve as subject matter expert on AthenaOne EHR and Patient Portal
  • Act as the primary liaison with AthenaOne support and Athena Marketplace vendors
  • Evaluate and manage third-party clinical applications and integrations
  • Ensure EHR usage aligns with HIPAA, MIPS, HEDIS, and other regulatory requirements
  • Support provider and staff training on system features and workflows
  • Stay current on state and federal healthcare regulations that impact clinical applications
