Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals with mental health challenges, providing care and assistance in a therapeutic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health issues and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to promote recovery and well-being.
Duties
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients, ensuring their needs are met.
- Provide direct support to patients through daily activities, including group therapy sessions and recreational activities.
- Monitor patient behavior and report any changes or concerns to the clinical team.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment adjustments.
- Engage in volunteer management by coordinating activities that involve community support.
- Supervise patients during activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Assist with project management tasks related to program development and community outreach initiatives.
- Contribute to fundraising efforts by identifying potential opportunities and assisting with events.
Requirements
- A background in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in addiction counseling is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate others effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with team members.
- Familiarity with social media management for promoting mental health awareness initiatives.
- Proven experience in recruiting volunteers for various programs or events.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- A commitment to fostering a supportive environment for individuals facing mental health challenges.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $80.00 - $150.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 5 per week
