A dynamic opportunity awaits skilled professionals specializing in the field of school psychology. This contract position is situated in a vibrant educational environment, catering to students from Pre-K through 8th grade across two elementary locations. The role is focused on providing essential psychological services within a K-12 setting, emphasizing student well-being and academic success.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct re-evaluations and initial evaluations to assess student needs and provide comprehensive psychological assessments.
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to support Response to Intervention (RTI) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) systems.
  • Develop and implement Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) tailored to individual student requirements.
  • Evaluate student eligibility for IEP services and facilitate the IEP process by providing necessary psychological insights.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, assessments, and intervention strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois as a School Psychologist.
  • Previous experience working as a school psychologist, particularly in K-12 settings, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships and foster a positive school environment.
