Full-Time, Live-Out Behavioral Support Nanny
Location: Montrose, Houston, TX 77019
Start Date: ASAP, flexible for the right candidate
Commitment: Minimum of 1 year, ideally at least 2 years
Schedule: 40 to 50 hours per week, based on candidate preference
- 3 day workweek! 40-hour schedule: Monday through Wednesday, 6:00 AM to 7:00 or 7:30 PM
- 4 or 5-day workweek! 50-hour schedule: Monday through Wednesday plus Thursday (8:00 AM to 6:00 PM) or Thursday and Friday (8:00 AM to 1:00 PM)
Hourly Rate: $25 to $28 per hour, flexible based on experience
Annualized Salary Range: $52,000 to $80,080, depending on schedule and fit
Benefits:

7-year-old boy: A talkative, curious child with a kind heart and deep empathy. He is autistic with additional diagnoses including sensory sensitivities, speech articulation delays, and anxiety with OCD features. He thrives with caregivers who provide structure, warmth, and behavioral insight while helping him navigate emotional ups and downs.
About the Position
This is a full charge role ideal for someone who enjoys guiding one child through daily growth and learning. You’ll lead the child’s routine, support emotional regulation, assist with hygiene, prepare sensory-friendly meals, and drive to therapy and enrichment activities.
The family is seeking a caregiver who understands autism as a developmental difference and views behavior through a nonjudgmental, supportive lens. You’ll bring stability, warmth, and expertise to a family that values your background and trusts your instincts.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain consistent, structured routines
- Use behavior-informed strategies to support emotional regulation
- Guide hygiene and independence goals such as dressing and brushing teeth
- Prepare simple, sensory-aware meals and snacks
- Transport the child to therapy, medical visits, and weekly activities
- Assist with schoolwork and daily routines that promote self-confidence
Ideal Candidate
- RBT or similar behavioral background strongly preferred
- At least 4 years of experience supporting autistic children
- Confident managing meltdowns, transitions, and sensory challenges
- Emotionally steady, nonjudgmental, and proactive
- Skilled in preparing meals for selective eaters
