Job Title: Medical Director Psychiatrist

Job Summary:

Our healthcare facility is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director Psychiatrist to lead our psychiatric department. The Medical Director Psychiatrist will provide oversight and direction to our team of psychiatric professionals, ensure quality patient care, and establish clinical protocols.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Provide leadership and guidance to the psychiatric department

2. Develop and implement clinical policies and protocols

3. Supervise and mentor staff psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals

4. Collaborate with other medical departments to ensure comprehensive patient care

5. Conduct patient assessments and provide psychiatric treatment

6. Participate in quality improvement initiatives

7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements

8. Stay current on advancements in psychiatric care and treatments

9. Participate in departmental meetings and committees

10. Provide consultation to other medical staff as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Medical degree from an accredited medical school

2. Board certification in psychiatry

3. Active medical license in the state of practice

4. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a psychiatric medical director role

5. Strong leadership and management skills

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

7. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team

8. Knowledge of relevant state and federal laws and regulations

9. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

10. Ability to problem solve and make critical decisions
