About Job

Mountain Park Racquet and Fitness Club (MPRFC), one of the premier tennis clubs in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking an experienced Director of Tennis to lead and innovate tennis programming while delivering exceptional member service. Established in 1973, MPRFC has a rich tradition of excellence in tennis and fitness.

About Us:

MPRFC offers a state-of-the-art facility, featuring:

  • Nine indoor and six outdoor courts
  • Full fitness amenities and pickleball courts
  • Part of the WAM Clubs network, providing access to 17 indoor courts, 11 outdoor courts, a swimming pool, and fitness facilities

General Function:

The Director of Tennis will be responsible for the management and oversight of all tennis department operations. Working closely with Club Management, the director will design and implement high-quality tennis programs and special events that engage members at all skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise tennis programming, including lessons and professional staff
  • Initiate, direct, and promote tennis clinics, tournaments, and events
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop combined programs for members
  • Inspect and maintain court facilities for safety and quality
  • Integrate new members into club programs and lessons
  • Ensure proper training for new tennis professionals
  • Monitor business volume forecasts and develop an annual department budget
  • Maintain consistent attendance and incorporate safe work practices

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Effective time management and communication
  • A team-oriented and diplomatic approach to problem-solving
  • Tech-savvy with IT and computer program proficiency
  • High-level UTR or NTRP rating, with collegiate and/or professional playing experience

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in a club setting preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a club setting required
