Your role & objectives:

  • Develops recreation therapy programs designed to meet the therapeutic needs of the patient in the following areas: socially, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually
  • Ensures that activities are conducted with "safety first" at all times.
  • Program covers a broad range of recreation therapy activities including sports, nature study, therapeutic, and social activities
  • Performs initial and periodic follow-up on recreation assessments. Ensures that patient's therapeutic recreation needs are addressed as a part of treatment team and appropriate documentation is entered into patient's chart

Your Qualifications include:

  • Bachelors' degree in Recreation Therapy with a State of Utah license and/or National certification (e.g., TRS, CTRS)
  • Familiarity with medical/psychological terminology, human behavior, and principles of psychology
  • Willing to work flexible hours which includes traveling and overnight events
  • Valid and clear UT drivers license
  • Must be at least 21 yrs of age and able to pass background check and drug screen
  • Other preferred certifications are: Wilderness First Responder (or other Advanced First Aid), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional Rescuer (CPRFPR), Lifeguard certification, knowledge of rappelling, climbing, ropes course and belay system

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44,000.00 - $51,000.00 per year
