Majestic Care’s Intake Coordinator is responsible for processing intake and financial verification for skilled nursing home admissions across Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky.
Essential Responsibilities & Job Functions
- Process new resident referrals across multiple states.
- Conduct sex offender registry checks for all new admissions.
- Verify in-network vs. out-of-network benefits and secure single case agreements when applicable.
- Initiate prior authorizations for skilled nursing facility (SNF) stays and return authorizations.
- Ensure peer-to-peer reviews and appeals are completed as needed.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports, tracking trends and maintaining accurate end-of-month reporting.
- Assist with business development tasks, including:
- Generating and analyzing reports.
- Conducting marketing calls to referral sources and partners.
- Supporting outreach efforts and tracking key metrics.
- Attend required training and meetings (some weekday availability may be required).
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.
- Degree in healthcare or a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred: Strong background in healthcare, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), or admissions.
- Candidates with experience as BOM, DOMA, SSD, QMA, EMT, EMTP, LPN, RN, or CODA are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Previous intake experience preferred.
- Experience in leadership or team coordination is a plus but not required
- Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated.
- Strong computer proficiency is required, including experience with Microsoft Teams, PCC (PointClickCare), and other related applications.
- Ability to generate, analyze, and manage business development reports.
- Comfortable making marketing calls and engaging with referral sources.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Hybrid position (work from office and/or home).
- Weekend-only schedule (Saturday & Sunday), 16-30 hours per week based on workload.
- Weekday training and meetings may be required (conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams or in person when necessary).
- Must have access to a secure, reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
