Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health counseling services to individuals, families, and groups. This role requires a strong understanding of various counseling techniques and the ability to work with diverse populations, including children and adolescents. The counselor will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic sessions in an outpatient setting.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' mental health needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on client assessments and goals.
- Provide clinical counseling services, including individual and group therapy sessions.
- Implement behavior management strategies to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive case management for clients.
- Offer specialized counseling services in areas such as pediatrics, addiction counseling, and Christian counseling as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay informed about best practices in mental health counseling and participate in ongoing professional development.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- A valid license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent credential.
- Experience in outpatient clinical settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with case management processes and techniques.
- Proficiency in conducting diagnostic evaluations and developing treatment plans.
- Previous experience working with specific populations such as children, adolescents, or individuals struggling with addiction is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies is beneficial.
