Job Title: Resident Care Manager
Job Summary
Works in collaboration with the Resident Care Director and other members of the health care team to provide, enhance or improve health delivery system by evaluating nursing practices and implementing standards of care, by assessing and addressing resident and staff needs.

Job Title: Resident Care Manager
Job Summary
Works in collaboration with the Resident Care Director and other members of the health care team to provide, enhance or improve health delivery system by evaluating nursing practices and implementing standards of care, by assessing and addressing resident and staff needs.
Essential Job Functions
- Evaluates and addresses resident needs and finds solutions to identified concerns
- Performs Daily rounds to review and evaluate nursing practices including but not limited to ensuring staff assignments are posted, medication carts are clean and locked, refrigerator temperatures are monitored, Crash carts kept stocked and locked
- Evaluates patient outcomes and ensures the plan of care is revised and updated to meet changing needs of the residents in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and resident/family advocate
- Ensures consistency, accuracy and completion in documentation, admission assessments signed, and reviewed
- Performs compliance, quality, and chart audits weekly to ensure compliance with AHCA standards and assists the Resident Care Director in developing Action plans around findings
- Responds to Incident reports and Grievances
- Assists in coordinating discharge planning, resident testing, and other functions of the ALF
- Assists in the orientation of new clinical staff
- Assists with survey preparation and compliance and adherence to Local, State, and Federal standards
- Attends Weekly Care Plan Conference
- Participates in committees and meetings as requested
- Collaborates with administrative support services to provide a safe, clean, and secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors
- Engages in honest and ethical conduct and complies with MJH’s Corporate Compliance Program and all applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations
Job Requirements
- LPN Vocational Educational
- Three years’ experience in geriatric nursing preferred
- Current LPN license by the Florida State Board of Nursing
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Skills in clinical decision-making, communication, human relations, and quality assurance
- Strong nursing assessment skills
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
Environment Work Conditions
- Normal working condition with adequate lighting and ventilation
- Toxic or caustic chemicals; bio-hazardous waste; flammable, explosive gas
- Routine exposure to blood and body fluids/tissues
- Ensures that resident’s/patient’s rights are adhered to
- Demonstrates professionalism and accountability
- Demonstrates a caring attitude consistent with Miami Jewish EmpathicareSM toward MJH residents, patients, family members, employees, and other facility guests
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills
- Ensures confidentiality and security of patients’ medical information
- Identifies and utilizes appropriate channels of communication
- Able to speak, read and write English
- Able to think and act calmly to meet unusual occurrences of the job

- Participates in departmental activities, meetings and in-services and follows established guidelines
