Position:Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) Substance Abuse Counselor

Location

On-site, Charm City Medical Center, 2220 Reisterstown Road, Baltimore, MD, 21217.

Type & Time

Full-time, on-site, 6:00 am-2:30 pm M-F.

What You’ll Do:

All duties are performed following COMAR, CARF, and state regulations.

  • Provide individual and group counseling.
  • Provides individual addiction counseling according to the Comprehensive Treatment Plan, addressing individualized goals.
  • Address lab results and health concerns with clients.
  • Ensure incoming clients have all completed documentation within the appropriate timeframes. This includes:
  • treatment plans and treatment plan reviews
  • weekly and monthly visits as appropriate
  • a complete psychosocial history and comprehensive assessment
  • interpretative summary
  • transitional plans, discharge plans, and aftercare as appropriate.
  • Provide coordination of care for all appropriate supportive services to include:
  • Behavioral Health
  • Health Home
  • Outside providers
  • Community supports
  • Document appropriately and timely to reflect all services provided.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure seamless provision of care to patients.
  • Maintain a caseload as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a licensed addiction counselor from the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists
  • At least one year of experience in addiction counseling, conducting both individual and group sessions
  • Maintains a professional and positive attitude and approach to patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Complies with State/Federal or Certification/Licensure training requirements and HIPPA regulations.

Pay:

Pay: $22 - $33 per hour, depending on experience and performance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
