Job Description
- Practice Art Therapy within the professional scope of practice as defined by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists.
- Provide comprehensive Art Therapy services for pediatric patients and their family members to support and improve their psychological, cognitive, emotional, social needs as referred by the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Facilitate individual, group, and/or family Art Therapy sessions that include long-term and short-term goals based on assessment and ongoing observation.
- Document Art Therapy sessions in patient charts in a timely and thorough manner, including assessments and progress notes.
- Communicate effectively with members of the interdisciplinary health care team on clinical care planning and issues revealed through art therapy sessions.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Art Therapy from an AATA (American Art Therapy Association) approved graduate program is required.
- Clinical Professional Art Therapist license (LCPAT) or Graduate Professional Art Therapist license (LGPAT), granted by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapist is required.
- National Certification as an ATR or ATR-BC- Board Certification in Art Therapy is preferred.
- One year experience providing individual, group and family Art Therapy to children and adolescents is required.

Pay Range:$30.26-$42.37
