Position Overview:
A Behavior Technician (BT) is responsible for assisting behavioral analysis teams in evaluating mental health patients and their conditions over a certain timeframe. Their duties include adhering to behavioral health plans developed by other mental health professionals to provide patients with beneficial care, interviewing patients at their home or healthcare facility, and drafting reports to relay their progress to senior mental health professionals.

We are currently seeking Behavior Technicians who excel in carrying out training plans for clients with a wide variety of needs. The successful candidate will work directly with the behavioral analysis team to implement behavior improvement plans for clients with disabilities. Additionally, we're looking for individuals who have experience assessing, monitoring, and modifying behaviors in individual and small-group settings.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Be able to complete a 40 hour training class, pass oral competancy exam, and pass the state licensing exam to become a Registered Behavior technician within 90 days of employment.
  • Provide direct ABA services to clients.
  • Build rapport with clients to facilitate implementation of programs as designed by a BCBA.
  • Collect data on client progress to assist BCBA in program development.
  • Write detailed and timely notes on client progress to assist in client program evaluation.
  • Conduct behavior and program evaluations.
  • Exhibit patience when manging client behaviors.
  • Provide valuable feedback to assist BCBA with parent education.
  • Attend staff and program meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience as an RBT preferred but not required
  • RBT Certification (if you are not certified please apply to our behavior technician (BT) position).
  • Ability to empathize with patients and their family members.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to remain professional in high-stress situations.
  • Excellent written communication skill.
