Job Description:

On a production basis, performs light electronic and/or electromechanical assembly work of low complexity and limited scope. Performs only relatively simple assembly procedures, which require primarily manual dexterity and the ability to work with simple hand tools. The cycle of repetition is ordinarily short with long work runs on the same or similar items. Parts are ordinarily not difficult to handle and soldering, if required, does not involve access problems. Works from samples or simple visual aids (clearly marked drawings or photographs, etc.) and receives detailed instructions as to exact procedures to be followed. Excludes those who are engaged primarily in loading and operating a machine, which assembles parts or components.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs only relatively simple assembly procedures
  • Performs operation of contact welder;
  • Performs operation of orbital swager;
  • Utilizes a variety of tools, gages and equipment;
  • Keeps quality up to acceptable standards with little discrepant work;
  • Performs tasks equal to or exceeding established standards;
  • Accomplishes production quotas;
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly;
  • Ability to react to changes productively and perform other essential tasks as assigned;

Skills and Requirements:

  • Due to need to maintain ITAR compliance, applicants must be U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  • Performs light electronic and / or electromechanical assembly work of low complexity and scope;
  • Operation of resistance soldering unit;
  • Performs frequent spring linking as required;
  • Adequate manual dexterity to safely and proficiently work with simple small hand tools;
  • Ability to work from samples or simple visual aids;
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instruction in English;
  • Ability to work well with only a modest amount of repeated instructions;
  • Working consistently, working overtime, as required;
  • Be team oriented and possess flexibility and adaptability.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
