The Green Mountain Care Board (GMCB) seeks an experienced data and technology leader to direct enterprise level health system data programs. This role leads the planning, development, and implementation of complex data initiatives that support statewide health policy, oversight, and performance monitoring. The Director will oversee large-scale data systems and analytics functions, guide technological decision making, and drive organizational change to enhance GMCB’s data capabilities.
In this highly collaborative position, the Director partners closely with the Agency of Digital Services, GMCB leadership, and external stakeholders to ensure data programs align with state and federal requirements. Responsibilities include strategic planning, program and project management, budgeting, procurement, data-sharing agreements, and the supervision of a multidisciplinary team. The Director also leads the development of data models, reporting processes, and analytic products used for decision making by policymakers, leadership, and the legislature.
Ideal candidates bring extensive experience with large-scale data management, analytics, and reporting; strong leadership and communication skills; and a proven ability to manage complex data and technology projects in a public-sector or healthcare environment.
As of July 12, 2026, the step 1 rate for pay grade 32 will be $49.19 per hour and the step 15 rate will be $77.66 per hour.
