Job Description

Part Time- up to 20 hours a week, roughly 4-6:30pm

Do you love kids and helping them develop? Are you also eager to gain specific, applicable skills to advance your career with company paid training?

We are looking for that special person that wants to work with kids that have autism and their parents in their own home. We would like you to have a BHP certification and we will provide additional training at no cost for you to obtain specific skills and become a RBT- registered behavioral technician. This is not a generally known certification in Maine, but it is highly regarded in other states across the country.

You will be following a plan created by our Board Certified Behavior Analyst to help the child develop skills. You'll also teach the parent skills so the family can learn and progress together.

This job is part nursery school teacher, spec ed teacher, mentor, big brother/sister. You will be willing to change diapers, teach toileting skills, sit on the floor, play and record data on your tablet.

Being comfortable in someone else's home and being tolerant and respectful of cultural differences is crucial.

Seeing a child learn skills to become more independent is hugely rewarding and the 1:1 work you do with them is a big reason why they are able to do that
