Hybrid Mental Health Therapist- LCSW, LPC, Resident in Counseling

Soar Therapy and Integrated Wellness is hiring an LCSW, LPC, or Resident in Counseling to join our growing outpatient clinic in Northern Virginia.


We are a trauma-focused, somatic-oriented practice serving adolescents (13+) and adults who are ready to engage in meaningful therapeutic work. Our clinical culture centers on helping clients gain awareness that leads to healing and transformation


Our team values accountability, clinical growth, and consistency in care. We are a structured, supportive environment where clinicians are expected to take ownership of their work, engage in ongoing learning, and contribute to a team culture that prioritizes client outcomes.

We balance autonomy with clear expectations, and we are intentional about building a team that is reliable, collaborative, and committed to long-term clinical development.


This is a full-time W-2 hybrid position. Clinicians are expected to complete 26 sessions per week and be available in the office 3 days to support both clinic needs and personal structure.


Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in person and available to work 10-6 or 11-7 (In Person)


Clinical Support & Development

This role includes a strong level of clinical and professional support:

  • Free weekly supervision for Residents
  • Ongoing clinical consultation for Fully Licensed Clinicians
  • Monthly Group Case Consultation
  • Twice a month, growth and development trainings
  • Eligibility for advanced training opportunities, including EMDR and IFS
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Full Admin and Billing Support

  • Interested in an integrated service model
  • Candidates should have 2-4 years of outpatient experience or a similar setting.
  • Strong readiness to work in a full caseload environment.
  • Seeking clinicians who are passionate about holistic care and excited to contribute to wellness workshops, somatic or yoga-informed services, groups, and community outreach initiatives.

Compensation:

$42 - $65 hourly


Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on trauma-informed and somatic-oriented approaches to support client healing and transformation.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their therapeutic goals and promote long-term wellness.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of client interactions and session notes to ensure compliance with clinic policies and industry standards.
  • Participate in regular supervision and consultation sessions to enhance clinical skills and stay informed about best practices in mental health care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities, including training in DBT, EMDR, and IFS, to expand therapeutic competencies.
  • Contribute to a supportive, collaborative team environment by sharing insights and strategies to improve client outcomes.
  • Facilitate wellness workshops and community outreach initiatives to promote holistic care and engage with the broader community in meaningful ways.

  • Are committed to trauma-focused therapy and depth-oriented clinical work
  • Have experience or a strong interest in modalities such as EMDR, DBT, IFS, CBT, and somatic approaches
  • Confident in their clinical judgment and able to guide the therapeutic process
  • Motivated, engaged, and take ownership of their caseload
  • Comfortable setting, clear boundaries with clients, including attendance and treatment expectations
  • Open to contributing beyond individual sessions, including facilitating groups or specialty offerings
  • Values working in a calm, grounded, and wellness-oriented environment
  • Comfortable managing a consistent caseload of 25 plus clients and maintaining strong client retention
  • Is comfortable with receiving feedback
  • Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability


Qualifications

  • Licensed (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or Resident in Counseling in Virginia
  • Minimum of 2+ years of clinical experience required
  • Strong clinical skills in working with trauma, anxiety, or related concerns
  • Demonstrate foundational skills in clinical documentation.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans
  • Experience or training in trauma-focused modalities (DBT, EMDR, IFS, CBT, or somatic approaches)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain engagement
  • Comfort facilitating or willingness to develop group therapy offerings
  • Passionate Learner
