Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Technician/Register Behavior Technician, where your passion for helping others and dedication to behavioral health will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans, support skill development, and assist clients with daily activities in a compassionate and structured environment. This paid position offers an opportunity to grow professionally while positively impacting the community through evidence-based practices such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior intervention plans based on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to promote positive behaviors and skill acquisition.
  • Collect, record, and analyze behavioral data to monitor progress and support treatment planning.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene while promoting independence.
  • Support educational and therapeutic sessions by teaching communication, social, and adaptive skills.
  • Maintain accurate session notes, behavioral records, and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, families, and treatment team members to ensure consistency in services and interventions.
  • Create a positive, supportive, and safe environment while implementing behavior management strategies and reinforcement procedures.
  • Provide services during Weekdays/weekends based on client needs and availability.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of ABA principles, behavior management, and special education practices preferred.
  • Ability to support clients with ADLs and provide quality care.
  • Strong communication and data collection skills.
  • Knowledge of documentation standards and HIPAA compliance.
  • Patience, professionalism, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. RBT certification or ABA experience preferred.
