Loan Officer - Ag/ Commercial

We are growing and seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Agricultural/ Commercial Loan Officer to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluate and authorize agricultural & commercial loan applications, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements

- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and collateral to assess borrower creditworthiness

- Business development which will consist of maintaining positive relationships with our current customers and fostering relationships, networking and community involvement in an effort to obtain new customers.

- Provide expert guidance on loan products, repayment options, and financial planning

- Monitor ongoing loan performance and conduct regular reviews to mitigate risk

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth loan processing and documentation

- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting agricultural/ commercial lending

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Agriculture, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience

- 3 -5 years experience in agricultural and commercial lending 

- Strong understanding of agricultural industry practices, credit analysis, and loan structuring

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to assess financial data and make sound lending decisions

- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
