Schedule:
- Monday: 7:00am-7:00pm
- Tuesday: 7:00am-7:00pm
- Wednesday: 7:00am-7:00pm
- Thursday: 7:00am-7:00pm
- Friday: 7:00am-7:00pm
- Saturday: 7:00am-7:00pm
- Sunday: 7:00am-7:00pm
Full Time: This schedule would be 3-4 days weekly, with rotating weekends.
Part Time: 1-2 days/week, fill in as needed for full time staff
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Private Duty Nurse to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a child in the comfort of their home. As part of our team, you'll play a vital role in improving the quality of life for pediatric patients and their families through attentive, individualized care.
Responsibilities
- Understand and participate in case management of the home care client.
- Implement nursing-care services under the direction and supervision of the RN Case Manager.
- Provide care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act and the policies, rules, and guidelines that govern home health care.
- Maintain an adequate liaison with families and clients.
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and a positive attitude.
- Comply with safety precautions and infection control procedures at all times.
- Protect and promote the exercise of the client's rights.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all client care information 100% of the time.
- Immediately notify the RN Case Manager when change in the client's condition suggests the need to alter the plan of care.
- Utilize the plan of care as a tool to routinely provide client care.
- Administer medications and treatments only as ordered by the client's attending physician and as written in the plan of care.
Qualifications
- Must possess a current Iowa license to practice nursing, LPN/LVN or RN.
- A minimum of one-year experience in nursing is preferred, but not required.
- A current CPR Certification is required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proof of auto insurance.
- Must complete an Employee Health Questionnaire/Physical within 30 days of employment.
- Dependent adult abuse certification
- Child abuse certification
