Position Overview:
A district in the Clinton Township, MI area is seeking a School Social Worker to provide comprehensive student support services at the elementary level. This is a full-time, onsite role focused on supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide school-based social work services to elementary students
• Support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff
• Connect students and families to appropriate school and community resources
• Maintain ongoing communication with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Support intervention planning and student success strategies

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from a state-approved program
• Temporary or full School Social Work approval from the Michigan Department of Education (MDE)
• Strong knowledge of school-based social work practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a School Social Worker in a school setting
• Experience connecting students and families to internal and external resources
