Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor (LADC)
Position Summary
The Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor (LADC) shall have the responsibility for planning and coordinating the activities of the client program, cooperating with other program components in striving to ensure quality of care. Advises the administrator in matters dealing with the management, funding, budget, and personnel practices relating to the client program.
Responsibilities
Resident Care Management
Oversee all aspects of a resident’s care from admission to discharge, including evaluation of physical and mental behaviors.Treatment Planning & Monitoring
Create, implement, and review individualized treatment plans with goals, activities, and objectives; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.Therapy & Behavioral Support
Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, identify behaviors that interfere with recovery, and assist caregivers in managing addiction-related behaviors.Referral Screening & Insurance Coordination
Screen referrals for appropriateness to the chemical dependency unit and ensure payments from insurance and clients through proactive billing processes.Professional Conduct & Relationships
Maintain healthy, respectful relationships with residents, families, supervisors, co-workers, and visitors; adhere to confidentiality, dress code, and workplace policies.Education, Policy Compliance & Quality Improvement
Stay current with continuing education, facility policies, regulations, and Quality Improvement programs; attend meetings and audits to ensure compliance with state and facility standards.
Qualifications
- Must currently be licensed as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the State of Minnesota.
- At least one year of experience treating individuals with substance abuse, or one year of work experience in the management or administration of direct service of individuals with substance abuse.
- Experience in long-term care.
- Knowledge of community organizations relating to and working with substance abuse/dependency.
- Knowledge of current laws, public policy, and trends in the industry regarding alcohol and drug abuse and its treatment.
