Mental Health Clinician – LMSW or MHC-LP – Independent Contractor (Remote, Hybrid or In-Office)

Balanced Breath Psychotherapy is seeking a New York Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Mental Health Counselor – Limited Permit (MHC-LP) to join our growing private practice as an independent contractor (1099). We are a warm, trauma-informed practice specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, and women’s mental health, including perinatal and postpartum care.

Supervision included: We provide individual clinical supervision toward full licensure (LCSW or LMHC). This is an ideal opportunity for clinicians working toward independent licensure who want hands-on clinical experience in a supportive private practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy under supervision
• Conduct assessments and treatment planning
• Complete documentation in a timely, compliant manner
• Maintain professional standards and HIPAA compliance
• Participate in scheduled individual supervision sessions

Compensation

• $40–$70 per billable clinical hour (based on experience and licensure)
• Monthly payment on the 1st of each month prorated by the hour
• 1099 contractor role — no taxes withheld
