Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is crucial in supporting clients in achieving their behavioral goals and enhancing their quality of life through positive reinforcement and structured support.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the BCBA.
- Collect and record data on client behavior to monitor progress.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide support and guidance to clients in social skills development.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in regular training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral health.
Skills
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation processes.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data effectively.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
