Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement personalized behavior intervention plans. Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses accurately and consistently
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, eating, and toileting, to promote independence
- Use applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors
- Support clients during therapy sessions by providing engaging, motivating activities tailored to their needs
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling medical records and client information
- Collaborate with team members to develop and update care plans based on ongoing data collection and client progress
Requirements
- Valid Registered Behavior Technician certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy principles, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies
- Ability to collect detailed data accurately during therapy sessions
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and team members
- Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation standards, and maintaining medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Compassionate attitude with a patient-focused approach to care and teaching
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in special education or related fields is a plus
