Registered Behavior Technician

Duties

• Implement behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
• Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions accurately and consistently
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting to promote independence
• Support teaching of communication, social skills, and functional life skills through engaging activities
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding client confidentiality and handling medical records responsibly
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to modify strategies based on data and client needs
• Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, behavior management techniques, and medical terminology

Experience

• Prior experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles is highly desirable
• Strong skills in data collection, documentation, and maintaining accurate medical records are essential
• Experience assisting with ADLs or providing patient care in a healthcare or educational setting is a plus
• Familiarity with special education environments or teaching experience can enhance effectiveness in this role
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members while demonstrating patience and empathy
• A valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification is required within the onboarding period

Pay: $27.38 - $32.98 per hour
