A Pet Adoptions Counselor is a professional who helps match shelter animals with suitable adopters while guiding people through the adoption process. The role combines customer service, animal welfare knowledge, and behavioral assessment.
Common Responsibilities
- Process adoption applications and contracts on the computer
- Monitor animal behavior and temperament
- Promote adoptable pets through events and social media
- Maintain adoption records and follow-up communication
- Help reduce pet returns by ensuring appropriate placements

Must be able to work EVERY Wednesday-Sunday from 10:30am-6:30pm.
Must have own transportation and be willing to transport dogs and cats in your vehicle. Must be able to foster dogs in your home overnight, as needs arise.
