Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities.
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, eating, and communication skills, promoting independence.
- Support behavioral health initiatives by managing behavior management strategies that promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, care plans, and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and update client care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Provide patient-centered care with patience, empathy, and professionalism while adhering to confidentiality standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with special education principles and teaching methods that support learning and development.
- Experience in data collection, medical documentation, or working within healthcare or educational settings is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
