Citywide is looking for a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our dynamic group whose Mission Statement is simply, "We Want to Help You". This C/A psychiatrist position is for a highly skilled & motivated full time Board Certified/Board Eligible (with intent to complete board certification with 12-18 months of hire). This newly created position is to be the Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Outpatient Medical Director, will report to the Citywide Chief Medical Officer, to lead the treatment team and provide evidence based, best practice approaches to a clinically challenging population with various barriers, necessitating creative thinking to facilitate the journey of clients, and their families, towards managing their mental health struggles. The position will be primarily outpatient-based in a hybrid, work-from-home model. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: MD or DO degree
  • Certification: Must have completed fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Board Certification must be obtained within 12-24 months from Date of Hire.
  • Experience: No post-fellowship clinical experience required but with desire and capacity to demonstrate leadership in a psychiatric setting.
  • Licensure: Active state of PA medical license, DEA, NPI, and Medicare/Medicaid numbers.
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred
  • Knowledge of current psychiatric treatments and medications; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals; Ability to work with a diverse population

CORE DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Direct Patient Care: Perform Comprehensive Mental Health Care to Children, Adolescents, and also Adults, including Older Adults when necessary. 2 hour Initial Psychiatric Evaluations; 1 hour Psychiatric Re-Evaluations and 30-minute follow-up visits, offering psychotherapy and psychopharmacology
  • Staff Supervision: Manage and support clinical staff, including other Psychiatrists, Mid-Level PMHNP providers, clinical supervisors, and therapists to evaluate performance and foster a collaborative positive workplace environment.

Comprehensive Mental Health Care includes establishing a therapeutic rapport, diagnostic assessments, psychiatric consultations, developing treatment plans, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapy. The candidate must also actively collaborate and work with internal therapists, clinical supervisors, mid-levels and support staff; including external stakeholders like other providers, primary care providers, school systems, and community agencies to integrate care. This position is also to provide supervision, and provide evidence based, best practice clinical guidance to Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners as the Primary Collaborative Physician or the Substitute. Board Certified candidates may be offered to provide Clinical Leadership to direct day-to-day operations of the outpatient program, including developing policies and ensuring the highest standards of care. Also to participate in Strategic Planning by partnering with administration to drive clinical outcomes, enhance program development, and expand community-based behavioral health services. Monitor Compliance & Quality to ensure proper documentation for compliance with regulatory and insurance requirements and oversee quality assurance.

Pay: $220.00 per hour
