In this vital role, you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles, helping clients develop essential skills and improve their quality of life. Duties

  • Implement behavior intervention plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior management strategies.
  • Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform ongoing treatment plans.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene routines.
  • Support clients in developing communication skills through teaching techniques aligned with special education principles.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by ensuring confidentiality of medical records and sensitive client information.
  • Collaborate with supervising behavior analysts to review data, adjust interventions, and update care plans as needed.
  • Foster a positive, motivating environment that encourages clients’ participation and progress in therapy sessions.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical documentation, and the importance of accurate data collection.
  • Ability to work effectively with children and individuals requiring patient care in a compassionate manner.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies for supporting behavioral health needs.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required; ongoing training or coursework related to special education or behavioral health is a plus.
