Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Registered Behavior Technician. In this vital role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to promote positive behavior change and support their overall well-being. Your expertise in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavioral health will help foster meaningful progress in clients’ lives. Duties
- Deliver behavioral therapy sessions tailored to each client’s needs, focusing on skill development and behavior management
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, and hygiene routines
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment plans and ensure effective interventions
- Implement individualized care plans based on medical documentation, behavioral health assessments, and medical terminology
- Support clients during educational activities, including special education and teaching strategies that promote learning and independence
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and ensure secure handling of medical records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, review, and update care plans that align with each client’s goals
Qualifications
- Experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or related fields
- Prior work with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation, and the importance of accurate data collection
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior management techniques effectively
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and patient care standards
- Excellent communication skills for working with clients, families, educators, and healthcare professionals
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
