Hourly Pay Range:$35.16 - $54.50 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.Position Highlights:Position: Quality and Point of Care coordinatorLocation: Evanston HospitalFull Time/Part Time: Full TimeHours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pmRequired Travel: YesWhat you will do:POCT activities to ensure regulatory and internal procedural compliance with CAP and The Joint Commission and to ensure a state of "inspection readiness"Develop and implement validation protocols, internal assessments and competency assessmentsDirect maintenance of POCT interfaceDevelops and writes section-specific policies and proceduresEnsures enforcement of policies and procedures and develops relationships with non-laboratory staffAssists with developing and implementing assessment of operational quality systems, report findings, and devises appropriate action plansDocuments policy or procedural deviations and corresponding corrective actionsUtilizes statistical process control methods and software to evaluate and ensure compliance of POCT operations and quality systemsDirects appropriate documentation of Point of Care Testing quality control procedures and activities including instrument and procedural maintenance and calibrationsResolve technical problems and ensure that remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.Home base at Evanston Hospital with travel to other Endeavor sitesWhat you will need:Education: MLS/MT, BS degreeCertification: ASCP certificationExperience: Internal MT/MLS Candidate: Three (3) years or External MT/MLS Candidate: Six (6) years' experience including two (2) years in a supervisory/technical resource positionUnique or Preferred Skills: Computer skills including use of Microsoft Word, Access, and ExcelReliable transportation that will allow staff to travel between sites, as necessaryOrganizational and leadership skillsBenefits:Premium pay such as shift, on call, holiday and more based on an employee's jobIncentive pay for select positionsOpportunity for annual increases based on performanceCareer Pathways to Promote Professional Growth and DevelopmentVarious Medical, Dental, Pet and Vision optionsTuition ReimbursementFree ParkingWellness Program Savings PlanHealth Savings Account OptionsRetirement Options with Company MatchPaid Time Off and Holiday PayCommunity Involvement OpportunitiesEndeavor Health is a fully integrated healthcare delivery system committed to providing access to quality, vibrant, community-connected care, serving an area of more than 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties.
