Job SummaryPerforms a variety of administrative and staff support duties for the music therapy clinic, which provides professional music therapy services for the community while engaging music therapy students. This requires, and a range of clinical, administrative, and musical skills and knowledge are needed. Performs professional music therapy services, individual and groups as needed. Responsibilities Clinical Caseload - 50% - Plan, implement, manage, and maintain active clinical caseload including the contract with the Baldwin County school system, and the private pay Conduct initial music therapy assessments for referrals - Assess and facilitate individual and group sessions with client-centered, measurable goals, and process with student observers - Schedule and facilitate or participate in meetings when applicable to discuss clinical goals and progress - Maintain standard data-gathering techniques during all phases of clinical processing including assessment, therapy and evaluation - Adhere to established clinical documentation standards in a timely fashion clients. - Comply with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc. including requirements for board certification and licensure, as appropriate - Adhere to AMTA Standards of Clinical Practice and Code of Ethics - Engage in on-going clinical supervision and continuing education opportunities consistent with professional standards Administration - 20% - Maintain clinic inventory of equipment and supplies - Purchase supplies as needed. - Develop and maintain contracts with relevant facilities and individuals each year - Coordinate & communicate with clients and their caregivers, team members, etc. to schedule sessions. - Work with GCSU faculty to schedule student observations. - Create and upload social media posts Performances - 25% - Coordinate and direct bi-annual music therapy performances/presentations in the local system that include K-12 students with disabilities and music therapy students Other - 5% - Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Other Required Qualifications Bachelor of Music Therapy or related area; CBMT Certification or equivalent certification AND at least three years of related experience. Board Certification through the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) and Licensed Professional Music Therapist (LPMT) in Georgia, required within 3 months of employment Preferred QualificationsExperience working with children and adolescents.
