Duties
- Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals to ensure timely and efficient care delivery
- Communicate effectively with patients to gather medical histories, answer questions, and provide support throughout their treatment journey
- Maintain accurate medical records, update patient information, and manage documentation in compliance with privacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to streamline office operations and improve patient experiences
- Assist with medical administrative tasks such as scheduling, insurance verification, and preparing medical charts
- Support the implementation of care plans by providing patients with educational resources and appointment reminders
- Ensure smooth office workflow by managing incoming calls, emails, and patient inquiries promptly
Experience
- Previous medical office experience is highly preferred to understand healthcare workflows and patient needs
- Knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical information and communicate effectively with providers
- Experience supporting medical administrative functions within a healthcare or dental office environment is advantageous
- Strong office experience demonstrating proficiency in scheduling systems, electronic health records (EHR), or practice management software
- Familiarity with dental office procedures is a plus but not required; a willingness to learn is essential
This role requires first that you currently reside within Contra Costa County in California.
