About the Role:
As a Hospice Music Therapist, you will provide music therapy services to patients in our hospice care program. You will use music to promote emotional and physical well-being, alleviate symptoms, and improve quality of life. This is a per diem position with varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized music therapy plans for patients in our hospice care program
Conduct music therapy sessions, including singing, playing instruments, and listening to music
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans
Participate in patient care conferences and team meetings
Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on the benefits and uses of music therapy
Requirements:
Minimum of 0 years of experience as a Music Therapist (entry-level candidates welcome to apply)
Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy or related field
Certification as a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) or willingness to obtain
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
