QMHP-A for Mental Health Skill Building

Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our dedicated team. The QMHP will play a crucial role in providing mental health services to individuals, particularly focusing on mental health skill building services. This position requires a compassionate individual who is skilled in addressing various mental health issues and is committed to improving the well-being of our clients.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine mental health needs.
• Provide skill building support to clients experiencing mental health issues.
• Offer mental health counseling services, including grief counseling and support for gender issues.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with VADBS standards.
• Engage in clinical research as needed to enhance service delivery and treatment outcomes.
• Support geriatric clients with specialized care approaches suited for their unique challenges.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to stay current with best practices in mental health care.

Requirements

• Previous experience with mental health clients is preferred.
• Strong skills in crisis management and mental health counseling are essential.
• Familiarity with VADBS coding systems is highly desirable.
• Experience or training in grief counseling, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, gender issues counseling is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions with clients.
• Valid drivers license
• QMHP-A OR QMHP-T
