  • Perform biopsychosocial evaluations using expert knowledge of clinical psychology.
  • Provide evidenced-based individual treatment and group therapy for patients.
  • Provide intervention for individuals with mental health conditions to include assessment and disposition of beneficiaries with acute and chronic risk.
  • Educate clinic staff on the principles of mental health via trainings and briefings.
  • Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.

  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
  • This position requires Basic Life Support training certification from the American Heart Association or Military Training Network within 30 days of employment.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • This position requires regular contact with children under the age 18 and a favorable determination of suitability to do so.

Additional information about transcripts is .Basic Requirement for a Clinical Psychologist: Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: conducting psycho-diagnostic assessments to pediatric or adolescent population; providing crisis intervention to an individual or group setting; and assisting with developing treatment plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).Special Placement Factor:Licensure: This position requires a current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, common wealth, territory or jurisdiction.Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.EducationFOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
