JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: Licensed Master Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
To work with clients ages 5-21 in a MHOTRS Outpatient Mental Health Clinic. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Core Competencies / Qualifications:
- LMSW or LCSW licensed and registered in New York State
- Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
- Minimum of 3 years clinical practice
- Experience with individuals, groups and family counseling
- Experience working with clients with co-occurring disorders a plus
- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
- Strong commitment to work in a high-need, underserved community with limited access to behavioral health care
- Sensitivity to diverse cultural and linguistic populations
- Applicants who hold or are eligible for a Limited Permit are welcome to apply and may be considered at a lower pay rate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual/family counseling to a caseload of children and adolescent clients
- Run therapeutic groups as necessary
- Complete psychosocial assessments, screenings, session notes, treatment plan and reviews according to Office of Mental Health Regulations
- Adhere to all HIPAA, Mandated Reporting, and agency Code of Ethics requirements
- Provide case management services as needed- collaborating with school, PCP, and other associated collateral contacts within the community as needed
- Participation in utilization review and treatment planning meetings with multi-disciplinary team
- Communication with insurance companies including completion of clinical reviews, outpatient treatment reports as needed
- Risk assessment and crisis management
- Collaboration with multi-disciplinary treatment team
Hours: Flexible Afternoons, Evenings and Saturdays
Salary: $38-$44/hr based on experience with license, Lower rates for unlicensed
